How To Backcomb Hair

Alright, I am now going to show you how to backcomb hair the correct way. The correct way, okay. We shall begin.

Okay, so we're going to section off a piece of hair. It's usually going to be around the crown section since that's usually where one would require height. We're going to take a fine tooth comb and begin to backcomb the hair.

You want to be quite firm but not over harsh, but quite firm with your backcombing. Okay, and as you get further down the hair shaft, you may want to change position and put it up. Now what you're really looking for for a good backcomb is you should start to see almost like an accordion pattern going through the mass of hair.

Continue to backcomb all the way to the tip. Of course, I have to have the model with the silkiest hair in the land. Okay, now this pattern here is basically what you're looking for when you're doing a piece of backcombed hair.

Okay, I'm going to do another example. Okay, and once you've done that, usually what you would do is if you're doing a bun or something, you would shape it over like what you've done here, and you brush over the outside and make it neat. Basically, that is how you get your strands of backcombed hair. .
