Sam, from Zombie Brand Skateboards, shows you how to perform a Backside Heelflip which is a skateboarding trick indicated by foot positioning and other movements needed to pull off the trick. Additionally, the trick is shown in slow motion to help learners get a feel of the trick.
I'm going to show you how to do a backside heelflip. First of all, it helps if you can do a heelflip and a backside 180, as both of them work together quite well, as they move in the same sort of motion. First of all, you want to have your feet by this sort of angle, having your foot in the heelflip position, and as you pop around to a backside 180, kick your heel off, and then it will spin around, and normally, you can use the nose to get around and spin around a little bit if you can't get all the way fully around.
So, you can river it around a little bit, and it helps you land a little bit cleaner sometimes. Now, I'm going to show you how to do the foot positioning for a backside heelflip. What you need to do is when you're going at the right speed, put your foot into the heelflip position, but have your back foot perched on the edge like you're going to do a backside 180.
And as you pop, you need to twist your body around, like so, and kick off. You should turn around and land. And that's how you do a backside heelflip.
