bathing is not a necessity, except when there is worry of impaction/ lack of hydration as in most young beardies/ improper shedding which can cause lack of blood supply to that area and if not treated will cause damage (tail tip falling of etc.). Giving the dragon a drop of olive oil will clear up impaction. Must be an all natural product. Otherwise if you monitor your vivarium's humidity with a suitable hygrometer and are aware that you're dragon is drinking from the water bowl it bathing is not required.
I differ with this bathing method. Bearded Dragons are susceptible to stress even though they may seem complacent. As an owner one should try to make any activity as stress free as possible. There is no use in taking the dragon to the deep end by force. It should be his/her own choice whether he/she would like to swim. Suddenly splashing the dragon, as seen during the end of this video, can only unneccassarily startle the beardie. Some beardies, as I've read, do enjoy swimming. On the other hand your beardie may not, so one should always take great care when introducing it to a bath.
THIS IS A TERRIBLE EXAMPLE
hey, i got my bearded dragon a lil while ago (female) and there has been a recent arrival of a male to the viv.... They are both 6months old. After the initial teritorial battles of her having a real go at him and trying to attack him. after a day or so they did they're waving arms thing and then things started to calm down a bit... (I'm told this was him and her showing a kind of truce) She was really affectionate and now when I go to get her out she kinda shys away from me a bit...? And now she seems to be out in the open quite often just chilling out and HE seems to be burrowing and hiding in corners and under the bark bits. Why is this? But when they are out together in the open they seem quite at peace with each other. One other thing is HE has been doing this strange eye thing ever since he arrived, he kinda puffs his eyes out!!!! Is this normal or should I seek some help? wondering if anyone can help me.... Jef

Ok I might not have a dragon yet but this one looks stressed when he/she was made to go to the deep end.
