This Videojug film is aimed at identifying your personal goals and helping you to achieve them by learning to focus well.
Focused - how to be focused? Many of our clients come to us and they have a million and one things on their mind and a million and one things they want to achieve, but they're not sure how to just hone in on being focused. The best thing you can do is to write yourself down a list of all the things that you want to do, all the things that are coming up and all of the issues - and then - identify from this list, all the things that actually need to be done. Prioritise.
So, rearrange this list and put them in an orderly form of the most important thing first and then break them down into what is more important and what needs to happen when. After that, hone in on the most important priority, because, in effect, that is what you want to do. Write down on a large piece of paper, what it is you set out to do and focus.
So, in order to focus, set yourself aside ten minutes each day to do what it is you set out to do. So if, for instance, you are writing a book and you have all these amazing ideas, you're not sure what to actually focus on, sit down and say to yourself, "Okay. Right, I've got ten minutes.
I'm setting myself time aside today to work on this project," and literally switch off everything that is going on around you - switch off distractions, be strict with yourself and hone in on dedicating these ten minutes towards achieving your goal. Okay, so once you've done that, sit yourself down and eliminate any distractions from the outside world that will prevent your from focusing these ten minutes of your time, committed to writing this book that you're decided to do. Another way of remaining focused is to draw a picture of what it is you set out to do in the first place and put it in a prominent place - either on the mirror, next to your front door, or somewhere on your kitchen fridge - somewhere you will see it.
So, this will basically motivate you to achieving what it is you want to do and narrow down your focus. So, in order to be focused, it is to dedicate a right amount of time towards what it is you set out to achieve and eliminate any distractions and truly remain on-point, targeted at what it is you want to do.
