Dr. Eldad Farhy, expert in psychotherapeutic psychology describes the differences in psychological behaviors and the different ways to approach them.
I'm Dr. Eldad Farhy. I'm a counselor and psychotherapeutic psychologist.
I run psychologyexpert.co.uk and today, I will be talking about psychology.
Behaviorial psychology and behavioral psychologists is a special session about psychology in the scientific behavior, that is, the things that people do willfully. We're going to find out there are some bad behaviors psychologists specializing in dogs and also in other animals. But I will restrict my information today to human psychology.
Behavioral psychology is usually applied or used in 2 ways: the first one is academic psycholology. In this, values research the qualities, study of human behavior. They try to find out what motivates their behavior, often what people say motivates them isn't really the reason behind it.
They try to work out what are the real motivations and try to apply from that into other areas of their lives. Behavioral psychologists also work in the more applied phase, that is a clinical psychologist,or as counselling psychologists, they try to help the individuals. The real quiz realize what are the motives, what are the hidden forces that motivate their behavior, especially if that behavior is unwanted or unhealthy to the individual.
By finding out what really motivates behavior, you can also find out how to change it and hopefully achieve goals that are wanted rather than unwanted as is often the case with classic counselling and psychologists. So who would see a case in which academic psychology in its research form informs, and therefore improves practicing or applied psychology. The type of behavior or psychology we're most likely to come up with is behavioral therapy.
That is, therapy, and changing the way people behave. Rather than pay attention to the selves that we have inside our heads, behavioral therapists think that it's the way we behave that we actually do that determines, decides and therefore, shapes us as individuals by working and changing our behaviors, that help to change our experiences, and therefore achieve our goals.
