Hi, my name is Ricardo Macedo and I'm here today to give some good tips and show you how to do some exercise. We are in my gym in Kensington London W8, so you could find us on our website www.r-fitness.

co.uk. So, come with me and we're going to show you some tips.

Here we go. How to become a better runner. It is quite hard to define what is "a better runner".

For some may be distance. For other ones may be speed. Whatever is your goal, the way to become better in what you do is through practise.

Practise, practise, practise. Ways to do it, to improve your technique, is introducing some variation. So if you are a marathon runner, so introduce some hills.

Run up hills once a week. One day a week, introduce a different workout. So if you are a sprinter, notice that you should do, one day a week, do a long distance running.

Yeah, so if you are a sprinter, notice that you should do a cross-trainer workout day or swimming. So introduce different things, different challenges to your running. So that way you are going to run longer, or if your aim is speed, you're going to run faster.

Other ways is, make sure you have the right gear, the right trainers with you. Have a resting day between your workouts or between your running days. At least one rest day a week! You need to be sure you're hydrated.

Have a decent balanced diet. Put all those things together, that should improve your running. If one thing falls apart, and you're not having enough sleep, that could jeopardize your performance.

So keep that in mind and I'll see you soon. .
