And I'll show you where you need to be - what kind of level you need to be, before you should seriously consider looking into exclusive training into body building and getting specialist advice.
Bench press - this is for your chest and arms. Now, for a bench press, you need to be lifting about your body weight if you're seriously interested about being a bodybuilder, otherwise you're just not there yet. Next: squats.
Squat works your glutes and your quads, and also helps your lower back. Tilt my pelvis. Go down and up.
With squats, you're looking about one and half times your body weight to really get serious into body building. Finally, pull-ups. There's different ways of doing pull-ups - wide grip and close grip.
The wide grip makes your back wider and is harder so that's what we're going to do. With wide grips, if you can't do four or five of them. Again, you need to go back and look at your training.
Once you can do your body weight with bench, one and a half times your body weight with squats and four or five reps in wide grip, and you've probably got pretty good shape already, then it's worth seeking specialist advice, looking at nutrition and looking at how you can train your body to do body building competitions.
