Today, I am going to tell you about how to go vegetarian. So, step one, what do you do? Well, you just go for it. The best thing to do is to write down the reason why you want to go vegetarian so you have got something to refer back to.

Is it for health reasons? Is it for environmental reasons? Maybe it is because of animals. Whatever your reason, write it down and then put it somewhere you can see it. Maybe pop it on your PC or put it on your fridge.

That is your reason that you will keep forever. Step two is to do your research. There are tons of websites that you can have a look at that have done the research for you - lots of recipes and health information.

Have a look, of course, at Veggie Vision TV. There are also The Vegan Society, The Vegetarian Society, and Viva, lots of places, and they are all there with the right information so you can make the right decision for you. Step three is to become familiar with ingredients.

Things like whey powder, gelatin, lots of things that you may want to just take a look at and remember, because these are ingredients that you will now want to avoid. Do not worry if it all becomes too much, think back on your personal note, and that will keep you going on your vegetarian path. So, step four, what is the next thing to do? Go through your cupboards and your freezers and get everything out that is not vegetarian-friendly.

But what are you going to do with it? Will there be a homeless shelter near you or maybe a neighbor or a friend, somebody else that is not yet on their vegetarian path? Maybe they will make good use of the food that you no longer want to eat. Step five is to take note of the foods that are now around. Have a look for The Vegan Society symbol and The Vegetarian Society symbol, and also look on packages from the supermarkets which may state "suitable for being vegetarian.

" Step six, have a look at your local health food store and go and support them. Chat with the manager and find out about all the new veggie foods that are available. It is embarrassingly easy to be vegetarian.

Nowadays, there is a veggie version of everything. Whether you are into prawns, fish fingers, burgers, sausages, have a look around and see the animal-free versions that are available now for you. So there you go, there are six easy steps that I hope you will now use to follow your vegetarian path.

And remember, not only will you now be leading a healthier diet, you probably will be saving the lives of about four thousand animals. All the best! .
