Bereavement is something that we all experience at some stage or another. Videojug brings you this video to help you understand and cope up with mourning, bereavement and grief.
Unfortunately, this is something that most of us would experience in our lives and learning to cope with it is very difficult, because it comes upon us in a lot of cases, without us having the time to prepare. We get to a situation where someone has died or we have had a great loss and our emotions are very much in a state of disarray. Emotionally, we find it very difficult to function in everyday life.
Our eating, our drinking, our work, our home life, everything is affected by our emotions around the grieving. Beginning to cope with this is actually starting to acknowledge what is happening on a day to day basis. It is important to listen to those around us and take advice.
But we also have to remember that we are all individuals in our own right and we will be feeling totally different things at different stages. So, to begin this process, may be different for one person to another. You may feel to start this process, that it is right for you, as an individual, to visit your GP.
He will be able to guide you in the right direction, as to where there are groups, therapists or possibly medication if he feels that is necessary. So, try and listen to the people around you. Also, don't ignore those feelings that you are having, and try and seek out professional advice that is right for you. .
