How To Blow Dry Curly Hair
VideoJug's hairdresser, Richard Ashforth who's work has featured regularly in top magazines such as Vogue, American Vogue, and I.D., takes you through a step by step guide on blow drying your hair properly. This is great for people with curly hair, showing you how to blow dry it properly so you can avoid ending up with a head of frizz.
Step 1: You will need
A towel
A hair dryer with a diffuser
Heat protective serum
Mousse
Hairspray
A wide toothed comb
Step 2: Towel Dry
To remove all excess water, blot your hair with a towel. Wrapping curly hair in a towel will not remove all the remaining water. Do not vigorously rub the hair as this will damage the cuticles.
Step 3: Apply products.
A heat protective serum will help prevent damage to your hair whilst you are blow drying. Experiment with different brands until you find one that best suits you.
Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
A styling mousse will help you manage and control your hair. Scrunch the mousse into your hair, and distribute using a wide toothed comb.
Step 4: Dry
Attach the diffuser, then adjust the hairdryer to a low speed but a high heat setting.
Tilt your head so that your hair falls into the diffuser.
Keep going until all your hair is dry.
Do not to touch your hair whilst drying, as it will separate the hairs, causing the hair to frizz.
Step 5: Finish
Once the hair is dry apply some hairspray to hold the style.
Use your hand to scrunch your hair whilst adding the hairspray.

Tips & Comments
No idea what people are whining about. I did all this, using my Ouidad products, and it worked perfectly! Ouidad is the queen of curls, and the whole kit came with a wide-toothed comb. Anyone who says a wide-toothed comb is a bad idea should take it up with Ouidad. My curls are defined and not frizzy! I was using my diffuser all wrong!
thank you
