How To Blow Dry Thin And Delicate Hair

Blow drying is an essential part of a hair styling, top London hairdresser Andrew Jose talks us through how to blow-dry fina and delicate hair from his London salon.

Hello, my name is Andrew Jose of Andrew Jose salon in Charlotte Street London. How to blow dry thin and delicate hair. Katy's hair is very very fine she's had quite a lot of auburn and there is a light highlight through the hair.

Now there does happen to be particular problems about hold and volume. So there are a couple of things that you can do to help you. The first thing is to put a volumising spray right away through the hair.

so I am using the JLife boost and you see that I create almost like a glove of volume around the head with the mist. But technique wise for blow drying this is quite important. Coming to the hair there is a couple of things that you can do.

The first thing is as you come in to the hair actually get the brush right under the root of the hair lift and turn and keep coming back for yourself so you put the volume into the hair. This gives a nice kick and a bounce. And do that throughout the hair so again lifting out nearly dry the root of the hair so start from the head, turn and come back turn and come back right away round and around.

Now I've chosen to use the Denman brush but the same can be true as using a round brush which some of you may find easier. Come in twist and turn and just really dry the hair very very thoroughly getting back so you have got a nice lift and volume in the hair. Don't be afraid of reapplying a little extra product to the root if you feel your hair is too flat.

Again center against the raise of the hair drier so the bottom's fine, if I go against the raise of it growing I give a terrific lift and a bounce through the hair. And by going against the raise of the hair growth and this makes the hair jump right off the head you get yourself lots and lots of lift and you can see the amount of lift and amount of bounce there is in Katy's hair. and that that even on fine hair will last the whole day through.

So get the brush right in at the roots lift it up turn keep it moving until the hair is dry. Let the hair jump up and don't be afraid to shampoo everyday when you have got fine hair it will be flat in the morning.
