I am going to teach you back side board slides and front side board slides. I will teach you back side board slides to start with. Too many guys can do 50/50 and on boxes already.

And the only difference is getting your board from straight to ninety degrees across the box. Back side board slides are the easiest. What we want to do is ride in, same as 50/50, you come on to the box.

As you jump on to the box, you want to go in to a front side rotation, and when you are on the box, you want to make sure that you are keeping your shoulders and knees all over your toes, so your board stays flat on the box. It's easier to start on the box, because it's got wide area, it's easier for you guys. And then, move on to the side rails and down bars, anything.

So, what you want to do is make sure you are coming to the box, very slightly on your heel edge for a back side board slide. As you come on to the box, just open those shoulders and your hips and rotate front side on to the box. Like I said before, keeping your shoulders and knees over your toes, super low, lower you can get, the better and just keep looking at the end of the box.

If you want to come off the switch, just carry on with the rotation. Keeping your shoulders turned. If you want to come off regular, just when you are on the box, block it and keep your shoulders lined up ready for the landing.

For the front side board slides, what you want to do is the same as the back board slide, but a back side rotation instead of a front side rotation. So, come in to the box, slightly on the toe edge this time and rotate back side, 90 degrees, try and land on your front foot and you will feel, way more stable before you. If you want to come out switched, just look over your back shoulder and keep looking round to see the end of the box and focus on that until you get on the landing.

If you want to come out regular, you have to counter your tape to the upper body. So, keep your head and shoulder faced towards the end of the box and it's just a counter rotation with the board tweaking out. That's how you do a front side and back side board slides.
