Hello, I'm Bryce Campbell, sponsored skateboarder riding for Gravis. And I'm going to show you guys how to boardslide. I'm not actually going to do it, because it's quite confined in here, but I'm going to show you the principle of a boardslide.
So, a boardslide is when the board is directly touching an obstacle. It can be done on rails, down handrails, on ledges, on ramps, on numerous amounts of different things, but a boardslide is, literally, when the front of the board comes up, front tracks lock over an object. Both feet on the board there, sliding across, and then coming out, like that.
Now, a boardslide can be quite tricky, because you have to allow for your body to slide with the board. So, if you're leaning too far back, the board will shoot out too far forward. You'll shoot forward, and possibly land on the object.
You can do them for as long as you can or as short as you can, and then come out. Now, it does vary depending on how you approach the object, but they are all boardslides at the end of the day. And that is how you would boardslide on a skateboard. .
