Body pop involves hitting or jerking a specific muscle of the body. It is a very energetic move. This VideoJug film demonstrates the correct way of doing a chest pop.
So, body pop is very much about having a real strong isolation, and really sort of focusing on a certain area of the body. So, what we are going to look at is standing with our feet apart, getting a good grounding and then we are going to use the upper part of the body to create that, that power. But that strength is going to come from the legs.
So, we are going to take our legs low and then the energy comes through the legs and pops out the top and what it means is that if we do that, we can take it to any dynamic, whether it's high or low and we are using the legs to create that pop in the upper chest. And it also means that we can incorporate the arms, we can incorporate the head, we can pop any part of our body. Legs apart, we are going to keep it bouncy and first of all, we are going to pop the chest.
So, take it down to a little bit faster. Down, pop. Cool.
Good stuff. Now, turn the other side. This time, take it down a little bit lower, and up, pop.
