I'm going to speak to you about how the modelling industry works. I'm going to explain to you how to book a modelling job. The best way to do this is through a reputable agency.

I don't usually recommend models to go out on their own to find work because you can find some people who aren't very reliable and therefore trying to get paid back for a job is really really tricky, so the best way to do is to always go through a reputable agency. To get to an agency, you need to be interviewed by them first. It's very similar to any other agency, they just interview you and if the agency feels you have the right look for them, they will book you.

They will take you on as a model in their agency. Now as a model agent, the best way for us to look for work to book models in for jobs is to do a lot of client research. To do this, we spend hours upon hours of researching different clients who we feel our models suit best.

Once we've established a relationship with the client, we will then start going into booking models with them. How we do at IMM is we organize with the client when they're going to do the photoshoots and where. We will then call up the model and say to the model to check whether or not they are free for this job.

Usually a casting takes place which is like an audition and the model would need to visit the client before she does the shoot. After the casting, if the client likes the look of you and your personality they would normally book you for the job. If they want to book you on the job, they will up your agent and ask your agent whether or not you're available and what your rate for the day would be.

An agency determines your rate based on the type of work you'll be doing and how long your image will be used. If your image is going to be used for over a year, the rate goes up. This is the best way to book a job as a model. .
