Ingredients

  • stock
  • thyme
  • bay leaf
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 onions
  • 1 lamb shank

Step 1: Prepare The Ingredients

Chop a carrots into pieces, and chop the onion into chunks.

Step 2: Combine The Ingredients

Add some olive oil into a saucepan, place the lamb shank into the saucepan on its side, and then add the carrots and onions. Take the saucepan off the cooker, and add enough stock to completely cover the ingredients.

Step 3: Braise The Lamb

Take some tin foil and cover the top of the saucepan, folding the foil over the edges to make sure there are no gaps. Place the saucepan back onto the cooker, and bring the ingredients to a gentle simmer for about 10 minutes. Now place the saucepan, exactly how it is, into the oven for about 90 minutes.

Step 4: Prepare The Lamb And Serve

Take the saucepan out of the oven, then take the lamb off the bone, and slice it up. Place this lamb into a serving bowl, and then place the vegetables on top and around the lamb, before finally pouring the stock over the top.
