How To Build IKEA Furniture With George Bush

Are you overwhelmed by IKEA's build-it-yourself products? We went straight to the top for some helpful hints. After all, if the Commander-in-Chief can figure it out, so can you.
-
Step 1:
-
Pick-up or Delivery
-
IKEA will recommend subcontractors to deliver your purchases if you can't pick them up yourself. But delivery isn't free. If you're having your IKEA furniture delivered, make sure you find out how much it will cost. It varies by zip code.
-
Step 2:
-
Take Inventory
-
Once you receive your furniture make sure all the parts are there. If there's anything missing, use the 1-800 number to have the missing piece(s) sent to you.
-
Step 3:
-
Act It Out
-
Figure out what goes where and how it will all come together. Spread your pieces out on the floor, and line them up according to the diagrams. There are no words in IKEA instructions, only pictures.
-
Step 4:
-
Ask For Help
-
Have a friend give you a hand on the tough parts or if you need to lift something heavy. There's no need to hurt yourself.
-
Step 5:
-
Don't Force It
-
If it's not fitting correctly, don't force it. Double check the directions and make sure you're doing it right. If the piece still won't fit call customer care for a replacement.
-
Step 6:
-
Test For Success
-
Try out your newly built IKEA furniture. If everything went well, show it off to your friends. If it breaks, put it back in the box and return the item in the original packaging within 90 days (the policy is not to accept items for return which cannot be replaced in the original packaging.
