If you're looking to increase stamina, you're looking to increase your lung capacity and lung efficiency. Now, to do this, any kind of cardiovascular training will work for you. From running to cycling, cross training to dancing sports.
All those have the potential to build up stamina. What's important is how you actually do it. To get more lung efficiency and stamina, you actually have to do things for a long period of time.
There's no point just sprinting for twenty seconds while that's great for your muscles, it's not going to build lung efficiency and increase lung capacity. So any kind of sport or exercise you do, do it for a long period of time. Another thing you can do is that you can mess around with your rest times.
Just say you go for a run for ten minutes, then take a two-minute break, then run for ten minutes, do a two minute break. After a week or so, that gets a bit easy, so you can make your rest times a little bit shorter, maybe a minute and a half, then after another couple of weeks, a minute. Keep on playing around with your rest times and your body will be shocked and your stamina will improve.
