In this tutorial Alison Barrett from the Old Rectory Cookery School shows you how to prepare and butcher a chicken.
You Will Need
- 1 chicken
- 1 boning knife
Top Tips
- When you are removing the breasts make sure you don't have your fingers inside the cavity of the chicken, as the top of the chicken is quite soft and you could cut though to your fingers.
- Bend the joints backwards and forwards to find the point where they join together, this way you won't cut through any bone or cartilage.
