Small banks (ie mortgage lenders) aren't stupid. They repackaged the mortgages and sold them to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac (ie US Taxpayers) and Wall Street which packaged them as mortgage-backed securities, sold to pension funds and other bagholding suckers. Oh sure, the ponzi scheme will collapse, but that just means your retirement went up in smoke, so you have to work harder and longer (probably until the grave) to produce profit and taxes for the Elite that control the Federal Reserve Corporation that dictated the lending policy to the small banks in the first place. Besides, those small banks will be takeover by bigger banks - but YOU will have been screwed by the process for the benefit of the very few who control the central bank & who give a crap about what is good for nations that they plan to destroy anyway.
