Hi, my name's John from On Your Bike in London. I've been a bike mechanic for 12 years. I'm going to show you a few things about bikes - things like setting it up so that it's the correct size, and some maintenance tips as well.

How to buy a kids bike? The most important thing is size. If you've got a child with you, you can have it on the 6 in a low position. You want it just on the tip toes, that way you get good growth out of bike.

If you're buying it as a surprise, a good way is measuring their inside leg and that will roughly relate to the wheel size of a child's bike. On this one, this has got a lot of adjustments. You can adjust the length of the pedal arms and also, the stem as well is all adjustable on this one.

And also the brake levers are adjustable for hand size as well. So something like that would be a good bike, with a lot of adjustments so it's going to last long. .
