This Videojug film will help you to become a card shuffling expert in no time! Learn how to shuffle cards like a professional magician.
I'm going to teach you how to shuffle cards like a professional magician. This one is called the overhand shuffle. It just gives the cards a shuffle.
It'll look great if you're playing cards with your friends. This one is called the riffle shuffle. So here's how you do them.
The first one is the overhand shuffle. You hold the cards by the short ends with the thumb on one end with the fingers on the other end, then you're going to use your thumb of your other hand to peel cards off the deck. Just come off of the top of the deck.
You don't just peel one card but you peel off a few cards just by using that thumb to drag cards down off the deck. You keep on shuffling, dragging cards one on top of the other, or one packet on top of the other. The other one, it's called the riffle shuffle.
You hold the cards again with the thumb on one of the short ends and the rest of the fingers on the other short ends. You allow your fingers to squeeze around the deck so that when you riffle with your thumb, so your thumb just goes on top of the deck and pulls cards back, you don't drop the cards. You need to first of all learn how to rifle off cards with your thumb.
So that looks like this. You riffle about half of the deck. You can see there I've riffled to that position.
You take that lower packet in your other hand mirroring the position of the pack in your other hand. So you come down, you riffle the cards off with your thumb, and what happens is those cards start to become interlocked together. Once they're done like that- so once these cards are now locked in, you simply need to bend your hands downwards so that you squeeze the cards into a kind of arc position.
It makes it easier if you place your thumbs down on top of the deck to hold them into place. If you're lucky they should all stay into position. That ones going to take a little bit of practice but once you've got it you'll look like a card shuffling expert.
