How To Care For Feng Shui Plants
In this video, Alexandra Lyons, a master florist, will explain how to care for feng shui plants. You will learn how much water and sunlight money plants and peace lilies need.
How to care for feng shui plants. These are two typical feng shui plants. We have the money plant or crassula and a peace lily or spathiphyllum.
Spathiphyllums are very good for absorbing toxins out of the atmosphere. They like to be watered once a week. Once every ten days, maybe, about 2/3 of a cup of water for a plant this size.
You can actually leave them until their leaves start to droop and then you'll see that it actually needs water. They're very good at letting you know when they want water. Try not to leave it in water when you've watered it.
Make sure it can drain and then pop it back in its container. It won't like that at all and the leaves will start to go yellow and brown if you're over watering it. And then we have a money plant or crassula.
Surprisingly enough, it helps bring wealth. These are succulents. They have very fleshy leaves and they hold a lot of water.
They don't need watering so often, maybe once every two weeks, once a month in the winter. They're very slow growing. They tend to have rather larger pots for the size of the plant.
They have a big root base on them. They like to be in a bright environment. Both of these do but not direct sunlight especially this one because the leaves are thinner and they will burn slightly.
Make sure you don't water the leaves at all. You just water straight into the compost. And you would like the compost to go dry before you re-water either of these plants.
And that is how you care for feng shui plants. .
