How To Care For Make-Up Brushes

Celebrity make-up artist Jo Adams shows VideoJug how to care for your make-up brushes properly. This will help them to last longer and be more effective.

Step 1: Washing

Wash once a week in a bowl of warm soapy water or brush cleaner. This will remove traces of make-up and care for the brush so the bristles don't fall out.

Step 2: Drying

Rinse off excess water and leave the brushes to dry flat. Never leave them to dry upright or near a radiator as this may cause the glue to come away. Rinse and store your powder puffs in the same way.

Step 3: Storage

Keep your brushes separate from your make-up to keep them clean and hygienic.
