How To Catch Pokemon

Hi my name's Charles Scott and I'm an administrator at thepikaclub.co.uk.

I've been playing Pokemon for over ten years and yes, I have caught them all. Okay in this video I'm going to teach you how to catch Pokemon. The first Pokemon that I've caught will be sent out into the field.

So there's my flight seal. Now, on the bottom screen, you've got your buttons. Fight, Bag, Run, and Pokemon.

Now I want to fight, because to start off with, I'm going to need to take down Onyx's health, who is the Pokemon I am trying to catch. So I'm going to use crunch. And that takes off a bit of its health.

But it's still in the green. Now ideally, I want this health bar to drop even further. The health bar comes in three colors: green, yellow, and red.

And Ideally, I want it into the red. So I'm going to have another shot. And I've knocked it out.

So I've knocked out the blast Onyx I was trying to catch. So I'll have to come into another battle. Now I've hit it with one crunch.

Now I'm going to use strength instead in the hopes that it won't do as much damage, because the aim isn't to knock out the Pokemon. Now I've got it into a yellow state. Now Ideally I want it into a red state but for fear of knocking it out I'm going to actually try and use a poke-ball.

So I'll go into my bag and I come up with a screen. So I select poke-balls and all poke-balls that I've bought are now displayed to me on this screen. And I can select them with the buttons down the bottom here.

And then all I do is I just click on one and throw it out. Now I'm going to click on a poke-ball and throw it. Now the Poke-ball will shake a few times and if it's caught it will click and if it doesn't it will release as it just did there.

So I'm going to try and use the ultra ball again. Three, and it clicks. And now I've caught the onyx.

To greatly improve my chances of catching the Pokemon I should have taken the health down even further to the red, without knocking it out, or I could have paralyzed, or put it to sleep. And that would have increased my chances as well. And that is everything you need to know about catching a Pokemon.
