How To Change A Fuel Filter

Videojug aims to teach you to learn how to change the fuel filter of your car by yourself. So, just follow these simple steps and you'll never have to ask or pay other people to change your fuel filter!

In this video, I'm going to show you how to change a fuel filter. And what I'll show you is right under the car. It's just up here.

This particular one is at the back wheel, just above the fuel tank, just here. This one has a hosing shy, and you have to really choose where the clamp is, with a screw driver. That's what I'm doing, each end, I'm undoing the clamp.

And then just pulling slightly on the hose, and that comes off. Don't worry if a bit fuel comes out, it usually does. Just a few out-fumes in there.

Sometimes, it's a good idea to put the hose upwards just to stop the fuels from leaking up. And we'll do the other side. Doing exactly the same thing again, that's for taking that one off.

I'm going to undo the clamp that goes around it. Just to stop from leaking everywhere, just unscrew the clamp. Take the screw out.

We move the filter out and pull up the last hose. That's it. You just put your finger over there.

We just got a few fuel leaking everywhere. This is what your usual fuel filter looks like, looks slightly different. Some of them are longer, some of them are rounder, fatter, but some, this is pretty typical.

What you do is put it underneath your fuel filter. You check against the lower one if they look pretty much identical. Different likes and stuff.

Sometimes, they look ever slightly different but this one got some extra size, the parts are the same, with the hose goes over at the top of the clamp. Then, it's probably fine. Now, in some fuel filters, you'll find an error.

Now, in this particular one, which would it be? You'll probably find there was an error there, and that error wins the cake, especially the direction that the fuels got to fly towards the engine. So, when checking the pipes, you have one that comes from the fuel tank and one that goes into the engine. You put the one on the engine and at the end of the hour, that's pointing to us, which is there.

And when you do one, you place it up under the bracket, push the hose up. Make sure you got it. Put it in the right direction towards the engine, which in this case, in that direction.

You get your screw and your clamp. Just stop with your fingers. And then we'll just screw with the driver until it's tight.

Now, we get hoses. You do look and loosen. Watch over.

The rubber holds and moves the way over. The pipe, it's quite enough, nice and tight with the screw driver to make sure no fuel will pass. What can you say? Pull the other side down of the plank.

Pushing on. We're doing with the other clamp. Same as the other side.

Nice and tight. So, only a few would come past, just checking if it's nice and tight. So, that's how to change a fuel filter. .
