Hi, I am Danny from PC Paramedics and today, I will be showing you how to change your graphics card. In a PC such as this graphics card is located inside your computer, first we will take the side cover off and locate the graphics card. Once the side has been taken off, the graphics card will be the card for plugging your screen cable into.

In my case, the screen cable goes to this Blue card here. To take it out, there is a simple clip at the end of the graphics card slots which you leave it up and you will be able to take out the graphics card. You may want to change this to for another graphics card, then you insert the new one into the given slot.

There are two different types of graphics card slots in the market currently today, one called AGP and one called PCI Express. Most commonly we use PCI Express. Once the card is inserted, make sure that it clips in and put the side cover back on to the computer so that it would not get any anti-static, insert; once done, re- plug in the screen cable and switch the computer on.

Once the computer has started up, it might ask you to install software. Many graphics card come with a CD with a piece of driver software which programs the card to the computer. As I said, once computer is turned on, put CD into the CD drive and run the software. .
