How To Choose A Chiffon Dress

Contrary to popular belief, chiffon dresses are actually incredibly flattering for any age, shape or sized woman. The key is in the layering of the fabric. Always, with the chiffon dress, go for at least a two- or three-layered dress with the bottom layer being a silk based fabric.

That enables the dress to flow over the body and skim over your lumps and bumps, highly flattering. It's great because unlike jersey and lighter based dresses, this one is perfect for skimming over your figure creating a much more slimming silhouette. And with regards to layered dresses in chiffon, the best shape to go for is something with an empire line.

Smallest part of any woman is directly underneath her bust, and so by nipping in here, it shows your slimmest part and then again flows and skims over the rest of your body to create a really flattering shape. If you are not convinced that you're going to do the kind of floaty feminine shape dresses but you like the idea of wearing chiffon, then the other guise that comes in is going for a dress that is structured at the bottom with then a chiffon based top. That, again, will create the same elegant effect as a layered chiffon dress but if you feel that it suits your figure much more, then this is the best way to wear them.
