Those silly frilly things she was looking at at the very beginning are "fashion bras" - meant to be warn if you're going out to a party for one or two hours or to "show off". They offer no support and are highly inappropriate for every day, eight hours at the office wear. And try bringing the garment you'll be wearing over the bra, or a typical shirt or blouse if you're just looking for a casual one. Bras should be replaced every six months because of wear and size flux. Be sure to get refitted when you're replacing them too.

I don't agree with the last comment. You can get lots of well fitting comfortable bras that look fantastic AND can be worn all day... not just for "showing off". You just need to know where to look. Being fitted for a bra is very important.

i am having terrible problems finding a bra... just back to work after 20 years off bringing up family... i have gone from a size 8 dress size to a size 16 (lol)...i am just not used to wearing bras anymore and they feel like some sort of torturuous contraption.... i have tried finding out my current bra size by spending a whole day in the shops being measured by "professionals" but they all told me different sizes.... after 6 months of searching for something comfortable (forget sensual cos i work at the hospital and its very hot there) although it would be lovely if the bra looked fab, esp after being chucked in the washing machine a million times... (anyone else having the same problems as moi??) i have all but given up on the idea and am still wearing a couple of grotty cotton bras i bought on the market for £2 each. love this site btw!!! : )

The tips are generally good, but none of the bras that the model tried on fitted! The band sizes were all *far* too big, and were visibly riding up her back! During the fitting, you could see the fitter pulling the back of the bra away from the model's body, while the voice-over said that you have to make sure it isn't too loose, but then we were not shown what it *should* look like. It should be a snug fit on the loosest adjustment, and you should literally just be able to run a couple of fingers under it. You should not be able to stretch it away from the body by more than a couple of inches at the most. Also, I would disagree that low cut and balconnette bras are a bad choice for D+ cups. Bravissimo are speciallists in D-K cup bras, and a large percentage of the styles they sell are balconnettes - they're just not as low cut.

I'm always surprised that 'expert' bra fitters in stores can come ...

I'm always surprised that 'expert' bra fitters in stores can come up with such different sizes! Some good tips on this video - I never realised I should start wearing the bra on the loosest fitting so I can tighten it up as it stretches over time. You can always learn something new!!

This video was good, but the woman had very tiny breasts! Virtually any bra is going to fit her. I would like to see this done with a woman (like me) with larger breasts. (At least a C or D cup). I think that would be more realistic and helpful.
