Choosing a white dress which flatters your skin and shape is something very difficult to do. This video is giving us good tips to choose a white dress.
Hi, I am Zoe Lem, stylist and owner of My Sugarland. This time, I am going to give you insider's tips to how to choose in fashion. Today, I am going to show you how to choose a white dress.
It is a difficult thing to do and lots of people get it wrong. Though you really have to be careful on both the shade of white you go for and the shape of dress that you go for. Whether it is a go through wedding, wear for your wedding or just to wear out in the sun, it is really important to make sure it flatters.
If you have got very very pale skin, white isn't going to be a great color. So you really need to warm it up. If it is for your wedding and you need to warm it up, then go for an off white, an ivory or champagne.
If you got pale skin, then it is a difficult color to wear. So you really need to go for an ivory, a champagne, a warmer color of white. And also, the texture of the fabric can make a difference how a woman, softer can your skin go.
So this is an off white which is pretty much more flattering, A very very hard cold white can be difficult to wear. The shape is important because, again, black dark colours, flattering light colours, can show up everything. So you still need to nip in if you want it to fit, you still need to go for great shape.
The panels in this are lengthening so the lines are going down over and across so it's going to give an even length and shape as the white can make you look whiter. The neck line is very important being flattering at the bust and also this shoulder is very great because if you are more pear shaped, hourglass, and you want to bring attention back to the shoulders, that will balance out on the hips that's a great shape. Again if it is your wedding, how much fabric is really important.
What's close to your face so you want to go to some accessories that lift the face away from the white. This is for someone who is going to a wedding. This is a great shape, it's quite a white slightly off white but this is satin so the shine of this fabric is flattering.
It lifts your face and brightens up your face where as flat white is much more difficult to wear so nips underneath the bust. This one is by Jasper Calleja and he does really great empire line gliding in shape. So if you are going to do white, that's a great white dress to do, flattering in the back, highlighting the waist through the shine, so that accessories, you want to pick that out.
A champagne can be quite flattering tone of a light color but the fits, the shape, the tone of colour, you got olive skin, you can pull off much more easily, pale skin which is much more difficult to follow the rules. .
