How To Choose Baby Feeding Equipment

Hi. I'm Laura Campbell from Babyladies and I'm going to be giving you some tips on how to look after your newborn and how to achieve the birth that you want. One of the real worries for parents is when they're out and about with their baby and the baby's just started to eat proper food, there's a worry about sterilising things and sometimes it just seems a lot easier to grab a jar or a pouch of food and there are other ways of being able to feed your baby and especially on the go.

One of the amazing amazing inventions are 'Milton wipes' and they're just your average Milton that you spray your house with but they're in a wipe format, so you can take them with you wherever you go. You can just use a wipe to wipe down the high chair that you're using in a restaurant or to wipe down your friend's table. Obviously, your friend's very clean but you don't know if it's sterile, so you can just give that a wipe.

They're also great for if your baby's having a dummy and they drop the dummy, you can literally just wipe the dummy with a clean one of these and they don't taste anything and they're safe and you know it's a sterile dummy. So that's another headache taken care of. So you're out and about and you're in a restaurant and you're having your yummy food and you don't want to give your baby a jar or a pouch, there are some fantastic inventions out there and this one I've just discovered and it's called ' the wean machine'.

And what you do with this is, I've actually got some spaghetti that I made last night so I'll show you with that. So I would literally just pop some of my spaghetti into the wean machine. Oops, there we go.

And this is obviously for a little older babies, so you're looking at maybe an eighth month old that's having his spaghetti, and then you literally push the handle down like that. You've got a lovely spoon in there that's already sterile and there's your food. It's all nicely chopped up and the baby can be fed that.

So this is great for when you're out and about and you want baby to have what you're having and not have to prepare special things. And you can put in there some of your vegetables or some of your banana, you could just have a banana in your bag and be able to squish that down and feed your baby.
