Hi, my name's Caroline from Pretty Pregnant. We are maternity and nursing wear specialists. So, we're going to be talking about all your pregnancy wardrobe needs.

Did you know that eighty percent of women wear the wrong bra size? At Pretty Pregnant, we're here to help you with that. We tend to recommend you buy your maternity bra at around about the twelve week stage. However, it's very much personal to the individual and really depends on when you start to grow out of your ordinary bras.

We tend to recommend you have at least three fittings throughout your pregnancy. This is because you tend to increase up to two sizes. Now, when you're looking for your maternity bra, you need to ensure there's plenty of room in the cup.

You need to make sure there's plenty of room for growth, and also ensure that on the back you have plenty of hooks to loosen to as your ribcage expands. You also need to make sure that the wings of your bra sit perfectly horizontal and don't ride up at all. Remember, the support for your bra comes from your wings, not from your straps, however, you're more than welcome to adjust them for comfort.

When you're choosing your maternity bra, you can always go for a soft cup, more permeable option, however, you can choose an underwire, which is also fantastic and offers a little bit more support. Basically, it involves having a plastic underwire, which is much more flexible than your normal wire would be. Don't forget, your maternity bra can come in low-cut or strapless styles as well.

It's not just purely for comfort, they're also stylish, and here at Pretty Pregnant, we have a full range available for you. We tend to recommend you're met here by a professional fitter, so please feel free to come into any one of our stores to be fitted correctly. If you are unable to come into one of our stores, Pretty Pregnant can always come to you.

So, that's how you choose your maternity bra. .
