A cargo trouser is sometimes referred to as a combat trouser as well and basically the unique feature of a cargo trouser is the fact that it's got so much detailing and its very very relaxed loose fit. So it's extremely comfortable to wear and a good alternative and probably a slightly smarter alternative to wearing a track suit bottom.

With a cargo trouser because it is so relaxed in its appearance and it tends to be quite deconstructed in its fit and doesn't intend to be pristine in appearance, it doesn't really lend itself to a work trouser unless you work in an environment where the dress sense is very very casual. It really is more of a relaxed weekend trouser. And what makes it very relaxed and a weekend trouser is the fact that it's usually in a very washed cotton and it has lots of detailing on it.

So the reason why the cargo trouser doesn't really lend itself to work is because it's usually made of cotton and in their manufacturing process, it is washed quite extensively which gives it its pocket washed look here. So it's really distressed and with all the rib bits and pocket details on it, it really does lend itself to more of a casual trouser. What would you wear a cargo trouser with? It very much lends up itself to trainers or sandals in the summer but it really doesn't look good with a pair of shoe because it is so casual.

The other things cargo trouser look really good with are quite chunky heavy boots which could be laced up or left unlaced. In terms of what you would wear when you are top half, with that, keep it very relaxed and a shirt or something like that which is too formal would not look so good with this. So a nice piece of knit wear, a T-shirt or a cotton top as a zip through would look really good with the cargo trouser. .
