How To Choose Perfect Beach Wedding Shoes

We're going to talk to you about how to choose your perfect wedding shoes. When choosing your shoes for your wedding dress, we highly recommend that you get a sample of fabric from your dressmaker or from the boutique that you're actually getting your dress from. Once you've got that, that will really help you work out what colour shoe you need to get for your dress.

Another thing you need to figure out is how high you want the shoe to go and you need to find a style that actually suits the wedding dress that you've ordered. When choosing your perfect shoes for your beach wedding, firstly, we advise that you actually talk to your venue where you're getting married and work out if you're actually getting married on the beach or just above the beach because lots of beach weddings, you will be sort of on the seafront but the ceremony in the aisle and all the seating and everything is actually not in the sand. So, that's the first thing to do.

If it is on the sand, then you need to really consider what sort of style of shoe you'll go for. Yes, whether you do decide not even to have any shoes and go barefoot or if you do want sort of like a pretty flip flop. But again, always try to have a little heel even if it's a slight wedge just to give you that better posture.

But you will need to consider if you are on the sand that high heels aren't really going to work. No, they're not going to work. They're just going to sink straight into the sand.

As Ellie said, a lot of the time you'll have the aisle with a matting down for you to actually walk down, and if you do want sort of the beach look for the photos, you can always have these shoes in the hand, always it's quite nice to walk barefoot. Just take them off and sort of hoist up your dress and sort of go into the paddle around in the sea and sort of make it a bit more relaxed like that. But I think for the actual ceremony, there probably will be some matting.

You will be able to wear sort of like a little heel. I think the most important thing with a beach wedding is getting the look right anyways so I think the shoes need to reflect the whole idea of a beach wedding, your dress and the venue and maybe not to be so glitz and glamour, a bit more sort of relaxed and sort of not like a cork wedge but something like that, along that line. So, a bit more of sort of the summery feel for the shoe - the more open toes and other thing.
