How To Choose Perfect Pink Wedding Shoes

We're going to talk to you about how to choose your perfect wedding shoes. When choosing your shoes for your wedding dress, we highly recommend that you get a sample of fabric from your dressmaker or from the boutique that you're actually getting your dress from. Once you've got that, that will really help you work out what colour shoe you need to get for your dress.

Another thing you need to figure out is how high you want the shoe to go and you need to find a style that actually suits the wedding dress that you've ordered. Pink's again a quite tricky colour to match perfectly because it goes from quite vintage-y to gray sort of tones, quite muted, all the way up to really bold, strong, vibrant colours. So, with your fabric sample, we really recommend having a nice bit of fabric sample with you to sort of match over the shoes so you can make sure the tone of pink is matching.

I'd probably go more tonal than a perfect match with the pinks because to get a perfect match, the only way to really do that is when you're going to be able to dye them, I think. Also, if you've got a three quarter length dress, you know lots of different coloured wedding dresses are not your traditional full length dress. If it is three quarter length, then you have got a long gap between your dress and your shoe.

So, maybe if you can't find the perfect match, it won't matter that much because the fabric won't actually be sitting on top of the shoe. Yes, because people just see the overall look. Yes, exactly, so that's always an option.

If you fall in love with a pair of shoes but it's not quite the right pink, as long as it tonally goes with the dress, it should be alright. And actually, this is quite a big trend that people like doing, it's having different coloured wedding shoes underneath their wedding dress. So, if you've got a theme of, I don't know, red running through your wedding which is a really strong theme, maybe you have a red bouquet, lots of brides actually like to have a red pair of shoes under their dress which is quite a fun idea, I think.

Because really, if you've got a sort of structured dress, you won't really see the shoes until the bride lifts the, you know, does the old picture. So if you had a vintage pink kind of wedding, then you could go with sort of blush rose pink shoes. Or if you were having gerberas, you know, really bright fuchsia pinks, you could have really bright cerise pink shoes.
