Hello! I'm Ellie. And I'm Charlotte, and we run a bridal boutique in Southwest London called Ellie and Charlotte's. We've been making wedding dresses for the last ten years, and we're going to show you some of our top tips for finding your perfect wedding dress and accessorizing.

I'm going to talk to you about how to choose your wedding shoes. First of all, it's best to check with your venue that they're not a heritage flooring and that they don't require a certain heel height. I know this sounds bizarre, but some places require an over 1.

5-centimeter actual heel base to protect the floors. You can buy clip-ons to support the bottom of your shoe if you do want to wear a thinner heel and they do require them. Also, don't forget to consider the height of your groom.

If you can wear high heels, or mid heel, or even just a little heel, we always recommend you wear some kind of heel, even if it's just a tiny one, just because it really helps with your posture and the way you stand. The other thing to consider is the style of your wedding dress. If you're having a slinky wedding dress, it's best not to wear a peep toe, just for the fear of the dress getting caught between your toes, so something as simple and as classic as this to where the fabric can slide over the toe as you walk.

Or, if you feel more confident with a strap over the ankle, and don't forget this, no one is going to see this under your wedding dress because it will be full length, it's mainly just about the toes, so think about comfort on your wedding day and how you're going to walk with confidence. Don't dismiss a nice little round toe, they can look very cute on your wedding day, they work very well with three quarter length dresses, and just consider the style of your dress to make sure the look goes. Again, this is a nice high heel, you have the support at the back, and you also have the strap over there to keep the shoe in place.

Now, if you go for a more structured traditional dress, or a-line, you have the choice of many shoes. There's nothing wrong with a bit of sparkle on your wedding day, but don't forget to make sure it goes with the style of your dress, and the look you're trying to achieve. I know a lot of people love to spend a lot of money on wedding shoes, and they could have the ultimate thing.

But the reality is, you're not really going to see them under your dress. There's no point spending hundreds of pounds on a shoe, just for the top of it to take a picture of it. This is a really popular shoe, again it works very well with traditional dresses, really lovely with three quarter length dresses, this shoe is not so good for slinky dresses just again because of the toe aspect, and also because sometimes the jewels can catch the fabric.

This is a very popular type of shoe. It's very pretty, it's very simple, this one you can get away with slinky dresses just because it's a smaller peep toe, but again be careful. You will need your shoes for your hem fitting at any good dress makers or boutique you're getting your dress from.

They should request them because you need them to get the exact length of your dress correct to your wedding day. You don't want it to be hovering off the floor, and you don't want it to be draping on the floor so you can't walk down the aisle with confidence. And of course, they need to be comfortable.

Don't forget to wear your shoes in around the house, while doing the hovering with thick socks on, just wear them in so they're comfortable on you're wedding day. And that's how to choose your wedding shoes. .
