You should consider how formal or casual of a look you are going for to decide if pleated trousers are for you. Different body shapes look better in different trousers. All the tips you need to help you select flattering trousers for business attire are included.
Hello, my name is Anita Feron-Clark http://feronclarkstyle.com/. I work freelance as an image consultant in association with Colour Me Beautiful http://www.colourmebeautiful.co.uk/ and today we are going to talk about various trousers. Traditionally, pleated trousers have been either single pleat or twin pleat or double pleat.
There is now a lot more choices in terms of pleated trousers. You could get inverted pleat trousers. You could get trousers which have more than two pleats.
It very much depends on the look you are trying to create. Generally, pleated trousers tend to be more formal in appearance. They are not as casual as maybe a flat front trouser would be.
So, this is an example of a single pleat trouser and this is an example of a twin pleat trouser. If you are a round body shape, it is probably best to wear a single or twin pleat trouser as opposed to a flat front trouser because pleated trousers are more forgiving if you are carrying weight in the tummy area. If you are an inverted triangle, it is nice to have some sort of detailing on your waistband.
Just to give a little bit more volume to your narrow torso. So for instance, a single pleat is much better for you. The twin pleat generally is worn by the older gentleman because it is such a traditional styling for a formal trouser.
Pleated trousers are a good work trouser. They are more formal in appearance because they tended to come in wool or wool blends. They don't really lend themselves to casual wear because casual fabrics tend to be a bit heavier and the pleats don't sit that well on more casual heavier weight fabrics. .
