How To Choose Plus Size Swimwear
If you are a plus size and are looking for a swimsuit, do make sure that you wear something that suits you and enhances your assets.
Hi. I'm Claire Wacey and I'm a personal stylist, and I'm going to give you some style tips today. For any style tips that you need that you don't find on these videos, go to my website: www.
Today, I'm going to talk to you about plus size swimwear. The really important thing with plus size swimwear is to dress your body shape so you need to show off your best assets and disguise the ones you want to hide which we all have. So what I'm talking to you is swimsuits.
I think they're really really great for plus size. The first one I'm showing you is really great. It's a halter but it can also go into a normal strap so you can change the straps and you can go strapless if you want to make sure you don't get any tan lines.
The reason this swimsuit is really great for plus size is because of this really inch-ward pattern done in the front. What this does is it elongates your body so what it's disguising is a larger tummy area or slightly bigger bulk area. Now, the really good thing is it brings back in your waist so where this detailing is, it enhances your bust, elongating your tummy and then relining your hips.
So it's creating that hourglass which is what we're all aspiring to. Another great swimming suit for a plus size is something like this. Again, it's a halter neck so it gives you lots of support on your bust.
But this ruching detail again is elongating your body so it's flattening you, making you look taller, longer, leaner. The only thing with this one is it's got slightly higher rise on the pant area. What I would say is if you're carrying a little bit more weight on the thighs, you'll want to go for something that's going to sit a little bit lower.
Another option again, swimsuit, is this which has got this fabulous ruching detail. It disguises a bigger tummy, gives support for bust but also it's really flattering on the thighs. And also it's a really vibrant colour.
So go for colours that really pop so you look fantastic on the beach. In terms of bikinis, I would say go for something that's got a slightly larger knickers, what I mean is in terms of height, nothing else. It's really just to enable you to allocate how much you want to turn it up or down.
So when you're on the bum bed, you can turn it down as much as you like but you can pull it up to really create a flattering high waist which slims down the tummy and also it's really flattering on the thigh. The top to this bikini is really really simple and again great for plus size. For plus size, we need a larger bust, so really, this is really flattering because it's got the underwiring to give you support.
It's really flattering, holds the bosom in really well but also these straps create structure and form for you so it really lifts you, flatters your body in every way possible. Another option if you're a plus size is to go for a short option and these shorts can be really really flattering on a larger thigh or a larger bottom area and maybe because it meets the bottom a little bit more. Again, halter neck gives you more support and I would only advice wearing some without a wire if you've got a slightly smaller bust but just remember that the proportions have to be right according to your body shapes.
If you're bigger on the bottom that's where you want to try and disguise it, so you go for a slightly larger knickers or a turnover or something even like this with a little skirt added. If you're bigger on top, then you want to go for something with really good support so I would opt for the bikini which has got a really good structure or go for a swimming costume that's going to keep you all in. I hope you've enjoyed listening to me talk about plus size swimwear and I hope you have fantastic holidays. .
