When thinking about smart women's trousers, think about the fabric, think about the colour and think about the shape.

So just to run through a few, you could have a wide leg trouser with a very simple waistband, you could have a wide leg trouser with some detailing, you could have a wide leg trouser with some pleating on the front just to add some interest on the waist area, you could wear a very deconstructed loose wide leg trouser like this which is sometimes known as a palazzo pant, you could wear a peg trouser like this which is slightly narrower in the leg but all the detailing is on the top, or a capri pant or a cigarette pant which is 3/4 length. .
