So, the most important thing when you are selecting a strapless top is to consider your own body shape and make sure that you select the top that fits you right. The fit is very important. If a strapless top is digging into your skin, then it will create a bulge above the top which is rather unattractive and not how it should be intended to worn.
So, that suggests that the top is too small for you or simply just not the right shape for you. Equally, if it is too big for you, and you are feeling like you have to adjust it constantly because it is slipping or not feeling it is in place, you have not got the fit right either. So make sure when you try it on, you move around, you can do things with it and it is not going to move out of place.
Most importantly, when you are wearing a strapless top, try not to constantly moving it around because any evidence of you looking confident in your top is dismissed by you constantly fidgeting with your top. So, put it on, get it in the right position and then leave it alone. Strapless top is great for someone who is of small to medium size in bust.
Sometimes you will find that a strapless top with support like a bra shelf in there to keep you in place. But it is important that you do get the right fit. If you have a small bust, then detailing that is going to embellish your bust, like for example here, the reflective element of the silver here makes the bust appear bigger.
So, that is a great bit of detailing. Equally, if you want to add more shape, then going for one that has detail, in this case, the ruching here, adds shape to your frame. This one is also a corset styled as strapless top which is great for someone who is a bit bigger because it will give you more shape and more support, more importantly.
And you may find that it actually has sometimes has an under-wire as well, which will again give more support for someone a bit bigger. Now, if you are conscious of having thick broad shoulders, or perhaps you got quite a long neck, then you may find wearing a strapless top a little tricky. Now what I would advise if you have a long neck is to choose to wear a choker style necklace or wrap a scarf around to break through the length of your neck, so it is not fully exposed.
Shoulders, that is a difficult thing to disguise, so I would avoid generally wearing a strapless top if you have got particularly broad shoulders. Those are my best tips for wearing strapless tops which hopefully you find useful. .
