How To Choose Sunglasses
Here is some great advice on choosing sunglasses to protect your vision from the glare of the sun.
-
Step 1:
-
Dark Sunglasses
-
I want to talk about tinted lenses, sunglass lenses. Most of them are very dark these days. Here’s a dark grey lens, and it absorbs about 85% of the light. Once it begins to get dark and then it can become very dangerous for driving. So, you must be careful not to drive with such dark sunglasses at night or at dusk or dawn.

Step 2:
-
Solid Tinted Sunglasses
-
Most people in Europe seem to like brown tints as oppose to grey tints. I personally like brown tint. The world looks a little bit more rosy but warmer through the brown tint.
And grey looks a little bit gray and green looks very “Alfred Hitchcock” you might say.
So, I like brown tints.
Solid tints for protecting you against the sunlight need to absorb ultraviolet light. Thus its key that you get a good quality lens to do that. And most lenses, most sunglasses today, are produced with that ability. So bear it in mind.

Step 3:
-
Graduated Tinted Sunglasses
-
I want to look also at graduated tints because these are very, very popular. And they’re coming back into fashion. But they don’t suit everybody. Something about that rapidly changing image. That intensity of light is changing very very quickly from top to bottom. It makes a lot of people feel a little bit giddy. So be careful when you choose graduated tints. But they do look very good.
The real advantage of graduate tint is when we use lenses cosmetically. When we begin to tint the top of this lens a little bit, grey or green, to add eye shadow for women, it says I’m adding it with sauce, you can add it through tinting that top of the lens to do the job instead. And also, you can add colour to the cheek here. Warmth to the cheek by adding a little bit of pink or something like that. And it really helps the face to look more alive, more healthy, and so on. And so, you should bear that in mind with tinting.
