  • It's important to work out what kind of colour is going to complement your eyes: if you have brown eyes, a black will intensity your eyes and give them a lot of definition; if you have blue or green eyes you may want to go for a softer colour such as brown, brown black, or plum.
  • Different mascaras have different effects on your lashes: some are good for curling straight lashes, some lengthen lashes and some help define your lashes.
  • It is important to curl the lashes to make them point upwards rather than downwards before you apply the mascara.
