Hello, my name is Andrew Jose. I am the owner of Andrew Jose salon in London. How to choose the right hair dryer? Now, you will find that, like every hair dressing product, you have a fantastic array of choices for hair dryers.

Now, these are the things that you should look out for. First of all, if you find it difficult to blow dry your hair, than you may find that using a slightly lower wattage of hair dryer will help you. Now, this is a professional hair dryer that goes up to 3,000 watts; which is very, very powerful and fantastic for drying hair quickly (especially when a professional hair dresser is using it).

But, you may find that if the hair often blows over the place, then you may need to go with a lower wattage; which gives you a lot of speed and perhaps more control ability. Now, things to look out for which are very, very useful. Now, first of all, if you've got a dressing table that has a hook on the side, then a little place to just hang your hair dryer is fantastic.

Likewise, an anti slip pad on the side of the dryer is useful because it won't fall off your dressing table. A simple thing to actually think about: how far away from your mirror is your plug socket? Now, look at the length of this lead? This must be at least two meters long. So, in choosing the length of the cable: sometimes a cheaper dryer will not have very much cable on it and you will have to use an extension (that's a useful thing to have).

Secondly, what tools does it come with? Now, obviously, if you use the hair dryer when it's open, this will blow the hair around quite a lot. So, often you will find that a dryer will come with two different sizes of attachment: a smaller one for fine, shorter hair and a larger size for longer hair. Again, this directs and intensifies the heat.

So, you have to be a little careful that if you are on full speed and full heat and you held it too close to the head you could cause damage. So, when you are using a nozzle, pay particular attention to how you are drying the hair and perhaps consider using a protector. This is a cold button; and again many hair dryers have this.

Sometimes, when you are drying or setting your hair, you will use the dryer and heat the hair tremendously. And then, the setting motion happens when the hair cools. If you want to speed that up, you literally press the back button and then it cuts off the heat for a small amount of time; this cools the hair and the hair is set.

So, what do you look for in choosing a hair dryer? First of all, check the wattage and the amount of power. Secondly, what attachments do you get? Does it have a heat on and off or a cool button? Does it have non slip pads and even a hook for hanging it up? And lastly, is the cable long enough to reach the plug socket in your bedroom or bathroom? .
