This VideoJug film will help you choose the best woman's swimwear for you body type. Whether you are petite, average or larger, you'll find out what kind of bikini, tankini or one-piece is right for you.
Hi, my name's Carla Leenders, I'm a personal stylist at the Glass Slipper and I'm going to show you how to style your wardrobe. Now I'm going to show you how to choose swimwear. There's lots of different swimwear on the market, bikinis, one-pieces, tankinis, and it can be a mind field, especially if you're not confident about your body.
I'm going to show you some bikini shapes today. If you're petite and rather small-busted, then go for something that's got a triangular shape. You don't need to go for lots of support so you won't need under-wiring.
Straps like these, which have small strings at the sides can be really good on a petite figure and can really show off your assets. If you're a slightly larger lady, or bustier, then going for something a bit more structured like this can really help. The halter neck straps will help give an uplift to your bust area and you'll get lots of coverage from this kind of style.
Also the fact that it's broken up into different color waves and different blocks will be distracting so you're not just going to have one massive color. On the bottoms, going for some sort of short, boy short shape will really help to cover your curves and enhance what you've got. If you're average size with an average body and you haven't got overly large busts, you can go for something like this, which has got filled cups, something like this will help to boost assets even if you've got a smaller bust especially with this kind of crease in here which helps to enhance your bust area.
Bottoms like these will give you good coverage as there's no small string bikini at the side, you won't need to worry about any lumps bumps or muffin tops hanging out or over. If you're looking for something a bit more structured, then go for a firm cup with this sort of lining in a halter neck style as again this will give your bust extra uplift. However, bottoms like these are best reserved for those without any lumps or bumps as they have a smaller triangular backside and strings at the side.
The bow ties on the hips though can be quite distracting from any overhang or any spill that might want to creep over the top of your bikini bottoms. And that's a guide to bikinis for your body shape. .
