Because I've got a black dress on, I probably would not wear black gloves. The reason being, you can't really see the glove against the dress. There's no contrast.

Contrast is really, really important. What you want is the effect of one color against another. All of the sudden, this now really notices.

Try not to do a hat and a boa, too much around the face. But if you have a hat and gloves, that is really nice. Boa and gloves are fine.

I've brought with me a two tone boa. Again, it's got the black in it that I'm wearing but because it has pink in it, it really shows up. It adds a little bit of luxury to any outfit.

Fascinators are an accessory, too. Again, it works if it contrasts with your hair color so it doesn't get lost and that it contrasts with what you're wearing. That's how to choose your burlesque accessories. .
