Here is a quick guide to claiming job seekers allowance. Now, job seekers allowance is a benefit for people who are actively seeking work and looking to take on a full time job. Now to claim job seekers allowance, you got three ways to basically claim it.
First of all, you can make a telephone call to the Department of Work and Pensions, now the number to call is 0800-055-6688 so you can kick start your claim off that way. Alternatively, you can visit the direct.gov website and actually claim online.
The direct.gov website has links to a job seekers allowance claim form that you can actually fill in online and send through online; you can also download a form from the direct.gov web site which you can print out and fill out as well.
So once again, you basically have three options to claim a job seekers allowance, you can call the Department of Work and Pension telephone line or you can use the direct.gov website so you can download the form once you actually fill the form out online. Now, do not forget job seekers allowance actually has two types, there is a contribution based job seekers allowance and there is also an income based job seekers allowance.
