How To Clean A Coffee Pot With Lemon
The strong aroma of coffee is always a great way to wake up. Unfortunately, your morning java can leave quite a mark on your coffee pot. Since coffee oils stick to the glass and can mix with dishwasher soap, you shouldn't use any soap products to clean your coffee pot. Follow these easy steps to find out how to clean your coffee pot the natural way using lemons.
Step 1: You will need
- 1 coffee pot
- 2 lemons
- tablespoon
- salt
- kitchen knife
- 2 cups of ice
- cold water
- measuring cup
Step 2: Any Way You Slice It
Grab your kitchen knife and slice the two lemons into wedges. The lemons contain acid, and provide the cleaning power to cut through your coffee stains and help disinfect the coffee pot.
Step 3: The Mash Up
Drop your lemon wedges into the dirty coffee pot. Pour in two tablespoons of salt. The salt provides a scrubbing effect and scrapes away any hardcore coffee build-up. Add your water and two cups of ice and swirl everything around thoroughly.
Step 4: The Rinse Is History
After swirling for about a minute, dump everything out and rinse with cold water. Make sure all the salt rinses out before making your coffee. If you have any stubborn stains, repeat the process until your pot is clean.
Step 5: Done.
