How To Clean Carpet

Now, we're going to see how we clean carpets. There's a cleaning method; what we intend to use is what's called the hot water extraction method. So, basically, we use a machine to spray shampoo and hot water onto the carpet and this machine which has brushes underneath it agitates the carpet and it penetrates into the fibers of the carpet, shampoo and hot water straighten the sucking up into the vacuum of the machine which we then empty out into the street.

Obviously, the first thing you need to do when you're cleaning a carpet is obviously to remove everything off the floor, then we vacuum because we don't want anything like screws or anything getting sucked into the machine as it might just clog up the machine and so we see that we start shampooing and you want to make sure that you do is make sure that there isn't any colour run, so find an area of the carpet you can test the product on just to make sure that everything's fine and there isn't a colour run. Once you know that it's fine, what we'll do is empty out the tank, put 2 caps of shampoo into one bucket of warm water, put the warm water into the tank and then put the empty tank on top and create a vacuum by holding it in place and then we start shampooing from the back and work our way to the doors shampooing in a nice straight line. We also go vertically as well.

The trick about shampooing carpets is not over-working the carpets, you don't need to over-shampoo the carpets. Just go over it once or twice, maximum, because what you don't want is to set down the carpet if you over-wet the carpet, so you basically work in a straight line and just go over it once or twice. And that's how you clean carpets. .
