How To Clean Dirty Cookware With Alka-Seltzer

No one enjoys the washing up, least of all when you've got to scrub off hard baked on crust. Well we've got the key to making it that little bit easier. So grab some alka seltzer and lets relieve that washing-up hangover!

Step 1: Soak cookware

Fill your dirty cookware with water and set down on your worksurface. Make sure all baked on food is covered.

Step 2: Drop in tablets

Open a blister packet of alka-seltzer, drop the tablets into the water and leave it to fizz away for an hour.

Step 3: Wash out

After the time is up, pour away the water and wash as usual, and all the food and grease will slide away thanks to the citric acid found in alka seltzer.
