We are going to show you how to clean grout. Bathrooms, grout, the main problem tends to be mould, mildew and just dirt. Obviously, with kitchens, you will mainly actually be dealing with grease and so we would use something as a degreaser to cut through the grease on the grout and tiles.
You would not necessarily use different scourers but obviously, you would need different types of product to cut through grease, I mean, you can use bleach as well but we would use something like a Cif oven cleaner which actually is very good for cutting through grease. If you do not even have that, you can actually use biological washing powder and you just need some warm water, and that is actually a fantastic degreaser. We tend to use spray bleach.
It is also very good for getting rid of mould and mildew as well. Depending on how bad the grout is, you might need to leave the bleach on a bit longer. For us, we always have to work quite quickly so we will spray bleach on the tiles and the grout and then we will use a ScotchBrite pad which is basically an abrasive end and a sponge at the bottom end, and we will scrub out to try and get rid of the dirt.
Obviously, you need to be careful you are not digging out too much grout out of the tiles. You basically just want to give it a couple of wipes over with the sponge and that is pretty much it. It is mostly, you want to try and cut through that dirt.
The obvious thing to use to cut through dirt on grout is bleach. Sometimes, you will actually see grout turn orange, you can actually get that back to being white and the product you would use would be bleach, and that is how you clean grout. .
